Event, Partnership & Store Experience Manager 1-Year Contract
📍 Calgary, Alberta · In person · Some travel required

About the Role

We're looking for a brand ambassador who makes our leather and biker lifestyle come alive out in the community and on our sales floor. You'll build the partnerships and events that bring people in the door, close corporate/bulk sales, and keep our store merchandised so it sells once they're there.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and run brand events (bike nights, seasonal launches, Stampede, community rides)
  • Build and manage relationships with motorcycle clubs, dealerships, gear brands, and local businesses
  • Sell bulk/custom leather goods to corporate clients, riding clubs, and organizations from quote to close
  • Keep displays, windows, and promotions fresh and aligned with current campaigns and events
  • Support the store team with merchandising and day-to-day business needs during peak periods

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in retail, events, or sales, with hands-on experience across event planning, B2B sales, or visual merchandising
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license required (Class 6 an asset); reliable transportation
  • Strong communicator and relationship-builder who can carry a project from idea to execution
  • Comfortable using sales data to guide practical display and stocking decisions
  • Available evenings/weekends for events (flex time offered in return)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • A rider, or deeply familiar with the biker/cruiser community, is a strong asset

Store Manager Full-time · Permanent
📍 Work Location: In person

Responsibilities

  • Making the company mission statement our driving force
  • Managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the store in a manner consistent with Boutique of Leathers & Open Road culture, Performance Standards and Beliefs, while providing the Boutique of Leathers & Open Road Experience.
  • Functioning as the coach, motivating source, and team leader for the store staff; liaison with the Customer Service Centre

📌 Human Resources Management

  • Staff recruitment, training, and development of future store leaders. Recognize and develop future store leaders
  • Create and maintain a positive team environment whose players are passionate about our Performance Culture
  • Process Outfitter Performance Evaluations on an annual basis
  • Maintain open and honest communication with staff
  • A commitment to open communication throughout the company

⚙️ Operational Management

  • Guiding and supporting the implementation of company policies and procedures
  • Operating a profitable store, while contributing to company strategies
  • Executing all training standards and company programs as per direction.
  • A strong focus on customer service and consistently maintaining customer service levels
  • Accurate inventory control, minimize Shortage & Adjustments, maintain accurate store inventory
  • Ensure Manuals (Human Resources, Operations, Product Knowledge) are accessible to all staff and kept up to date
  • Ensure accurate, legible, and timely daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. This includes payroll, Report 51, boot repairs, staff purchases, and layaway aging
  • Ensure that the store's physical conditions are clean and well maintained (vacuum, dust, floor free of obstacles) and train staff accordingly
  • Ensure that equipment is operational and maintained (computers, vacuum cleaners, ladders, lights, audio-visual), and train staff accordingly

🧥 Merchandise Management

  • Coach and train staff on merchandise display and presentation consistent with Lammle's image
  • Merchandise the store based on promotions or season and store profile
  • Communicate and support company promotions
  • Complete markdowns and transfers accurately and in a timely manner
  • Use windows and store fronts effectively
  • Provide product knowledge training and coaching to all outfitters
  • Promoting and enhancing our company image
  • Ensure displays and presentations are consistent with the Boutique of Leathers & Open Road image.

Sales Associate – Boutique of Leathers Part-time · Permanent

Job duties

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Boutique of Leathers products, and effectively translate knowledge to customers through need recognition
  • Showcase a positive attitude to both the customer and the tasks assigned
  • Strive to reach personal productivity and sales goals
  • Be knowledgeable on current promotions and convey offerings to customers
  • Ensure each customer receives the Boutique of Leather Experience
  • Lift and distribute merchandise up to 50lbs, refill stock and assist in merchandise display
  • Take pride and attend to store cleanliness and tidiness
  • Process purchases, returns/exchanges and special orders at register using POS system
  • Comply with policy and regulations as per the company's employee manual with regards to loss prevention

Qualifications

  • Strong personal skills, outgoing and able to communicate with co-workers and customers
  • Sales and customer service oriented, ability to identify sales opportunities and problem solve
  • Retail experience is an asset, but not required
  • Flexibility including evenings and weekends
  • Critical thinking skills, proactive and innovative
  • Biker Lifestyle knowledge preferred
