Return Policy

We stand by the quality of our products. If an item doesn’t meet your expectations, you can return it. We also back the product advice we offer. If a purchase based on our advice proves unsuitable, you can return it for an exchange, refund, or credit. Please be aware that returns are subject to certain conditions.

1. What can I return?

We accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of the purchase date. Returns or exchanges are processed for online orders within 30 days of the shipping date. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment, and a receipt is required for the return. To ensure credit, the item must be returned unused/unworn, in the original product packaging and tag, and with all paperwork, parts, and accessories.

Items returned for satisfaction reasons must be in resalable condition. This means products should be either new and unused or clean, lightly used, and functioning like new. This is also subject to the 30-day return or exchange policy. The shipping fee is non-refundable.

Items sold as final sale cannot be returned or exchanged. For hygienic reasons, Face Masks, Earrings, Socks, and Insoles are final sale. Altered, Laundered, or Customized Products cannot be returned, and gift cards cannot be returned.

BOL reserves the right to modify any of the terms and conditions of our Product Guarantee at any time and its sole discretion. All decisions BOL makes regarding an item's eligibility for return are final. Our Product Guarantee applies only to purchases made from boutiqueofleathers.com, BOL Locations, or BOL events/shows.

2. Record of Purchase

Please retain copies of all receipts and orders. BOL may require proof of purchase (such as a receipt, email order confirmation, or packing slip) to process your return or exchange, especially if you checked out as a guest online.

3. How to Return Items

  • In-Person Returns

We can process returns or exchanges at any of our retail locations. Proof of purchase (e.g., receipt, email order confirmation, or packing slip) is required for a full refund or exchange. If you don't have the receipt, we'll issue a gift certificate for the current value of the merchandise. This certificate has no cash value and will expire one year from the issue date. Please note that Boutique of Leathers & Open Road standard Refund/Return policies apply to all purchases.

  • Returns by Mail

You can also mail in your returns. Once your parcel is received at our Distribution Centre, it may take 1-5 business days to process. If this timeline doesn't work for you, please stop by your nearest BOL store, and we'll assist you.

For returns to our Distribution Centre, the postmark date of the return package will be considered the return date. If you need to return an item after 30 days, please get in touch with our Customer Service Department for an evaluation of your situation. 

Mail within Canada

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs when mailing returns. We recommend using a carrier that provides tracking and insurance, as BOL is not responsible for lost packages. Please include a copy of your receipt when packing your items.

If you return your product for any reason other than a manufacturer's defect, you will be responsible for all shipping costs and applicable fees. However, if your order contains the wrong item(s) or defective items, we will cover the return shipping charges and send you the replacement(s) with free shipping.

Once your return has been successfully received and processed, you will receive an email confirmation and a refund to your original form(s) of payment. Please note that processing a return can take 1-5 business days after arriving at our warehouse. Refunds are typically credited to the original form of payment within 3-5 business days. Returns are not subject to a restocking fee.

Please note: BOL is not responsible for shipping, handling, and other additional charges for returned items. All return shipping charges must be prepaid. We cannot accept C.O.D. deliveries.

If you are returning items from the U.S., pay for them and send them via insured ground shipping with your carrier.

4. Price Difference

At BOL, we strive to ensure the accuracy of product information, promotions, and pricing. However, occasional errors beyond our control might occur. Please note that all prices are subject to change without prior notice.

We aim to keep the same items and prices available on boutiqueofleathers.com and in our retail stores. If your in-store price is higher than the online price, please visit our stores, and we’ll happily adjust it for you.

5. Product Warranty

We offer a 1-month warranty for all our products. You are eligible for this standard warranty if you purchased the item within 30 days.

If an issue arises with jackets, garments, bags, or zippers after 30 days of purchase, we offer a free alteration or repair. To submit your concern, please provide your transaction or order details, photos of the item, and the damage to our Customer Service Department. We aim to respond within 1-2 business days.

 

Exchanges

When you purchase at BOL, returns can be made under Our Product Guarantee, subject to certain limitations.

We offer a one (1) time Free Exchange Policy through mail if you’d like to exchange for a different size or a different style of product. You will have to pay for the price difference if you would like to exchange for a product with a higher price.

FAQ

I don’t have a store nearby. How can I return or exchange my purchase?

If you’ll be in the area next month, we highly recommend stopping by so our in-store team can assess and process your return on the spot. Alternatively, you can mail your return to our Distribution Centre. 

Do I need a receipt for my return?

Please retain copies of all receipts and orders, as we require proof of purchase to process your return or exchange. 

What should I do if I’ve removed the tags or labels or if the item has been used?

It depends, but Our Product Guarantee might cover it. Please review our return policy or bring the item to a store so our staff can assess and assist you. If you’re not near a store, feel free to contact our Customer Service at customerservice@boutiqueofleathers.com.

Can I receive a refund on a different credit card?

We can only issue refunds to the original credit card used for the purchase or via gift card or certificate.

I received something as a gift that I didn’t want. Can I get a refund?

We'll need the original purchaser's receipt to locate the transaction in our system and process a refund. Refunds can only be issued to the original buyer. As the recipient, with your gift receipt, you can either exchange the item or receive a gift card for the purchase value.
