So I was looking on Amazon for fingerless leather gloves. They had either ones with skulls or questionable sizing from overseas. So while shopping for boots, I also got these basic fingerless leather gloves from Boutique Of Leathers. And the best part, is they're a totally Canadian company! I got my usual Large glove size, and they fit well. The leather is supple but of a good quality. Not as thick as ones I got from Pakistan(still have & use at the gym & on the Harley last season), but thicker than a pair I got last year off Amazon, and in 8 months driving an 18 spd truck, they wore through with holes. I used to say when the gloves got like that, there was a certain "road warrior" appeal. But I think these Boutique Of Leathers fingerless gloves will fare better, wrestling with the semi, and careening around on the XL1200 Sportster.
So getting an HD XL1200 Sportster in mid August last season, I was only wearing Rockport leather chukkas. So for the upcoming riding season, I was looking for a more substantial boot. HD boots are way too pricy, Milwaukee & Hot Leathers have either wide width only and/or shipping costs to Canada are too expensive. So I found BOL(Boutique Of Leathers, not Bill Of Lading) & the Open Road Harness boots were marked down like $60 off! Real grain leather, side zip c/w flaps over zipper & a strong leather zipper pull tag. Meaty sole, plus all black on the bottom, not plastered with crazy orange dots. Minimalist look, not too flashy, with the side harness ring being the only bling. A gray stitch around the boot, fits in with my gray/chrome/black scooter scheme. After some questions to their great CS, Josh replied quickly & provided information, to guide me on sizing. I thought I may have to go a size down? But Josh said some customers said the toe area was tight, so to possibly size up. So I ventured with that valuable info, to stick to my usual size 9. Good thing, as my foot slid right in, after bypassing kinda tight part at the curve/elbow, settled right into a nice fit. I've only walked around the house so far with these boots, but they feel very sturdy & comfortable. The reinforced toe area, should be good for shifting up. I fired up my scoot yesterday in the garage, and she yelled at me with her Vance & Hines shorties and at the rain too I think, saying git you some insurance boy, slip on them new harness boots & fingerless leather gloves, and let's ride!
Anyone with a sissy bar will appreciate this bag. Perfect for touring or just using the roller on the top for short trips. There was a small issue with a broken clasp, but an Open Road employee met me at their office and replaced on my way out of town. Thank you.
The folks at Open Road were the best as always. The courier misplaced my order and Josh had it located and delivered the next day.
This bag is great quality and a beautiful rich color. Well crafted. The size is perfect for me for everyday use.
I'll definitely purchase again!
