1. Holiday Shipping Cutoff
Please place your online orders by December 15 at 11:59 PM MST to ensure they arrive in time for the holidays.
For orders placed after December 15, we will do our utmost to deliver your items as quickly as possible. Alternatively, if you’re pressed for time, consider choosing Store Pickup when shopping online to receive your orders sooner and bypass shipping.
*The estimated shipping cutoff date applies to deliveries in major cities and surrounding areas. It excludes PO boxes and some remote locations.
2. Free Shipping on orders over $100 in Canada
We offer Free Shipping on orders over $100 within Canada (before taxes). Orders under $100 are subject to shipping fees. Shipping fees are calculated based on the delivery address, shipping method, and the order’s weight and dimensions. Due to logistic limitations, Northern Territories and remote areas are subject to different shipping costs and times.
3. Want something urgently?
Store pickup is available at all locations and is always FREE. Choose a store location, and we’ll let you know if the item in that store is available for pickup. An in-store pickup is processed after 2-4 business days after it is placed. Please don’t go to the store if you have not received the email confirmation yet. An email confirmation will be provided once it’s ready for pickup.

4. Shipping within Canada
Please be advised that we cannot provide an accurate shipping estimate now. We highly suggest using your tracking number to have a realistic timeframe. Your tracking number serves as confirmation that Boutique of Leathers handed it over to our carrier partner.
Most orders are shipped via Canada Post Regular (Expedited) Parcel – a delivery standard of 1 to 7 business days, depending on your distance from our Calgary distribution centre or one of our store locations. This estimated delivery applies to urban and easily accessible rural areas within Canada.
Please note that priority shipping (Xpresspost) is available at checkout for urgent orders. Understanding that faster shipping means you want the product promptly, we prioritize these orders over non-express ones placed on the same date. However, ensure you allow sufficient processing and delivery time, as we adhere to the above standards and cannot guarantee specific delivery dates from Canada Post.
Xpresspost shipments are under the responsibility of the customer to pay, and rates are calculated during checkout based on destination, weight, and dimensions. Using express shipping options guarantees Boutique of Leathers & Open Road will ship via the selected service. However, we cannot be held responsible for meeting customer-imposed delivery deadlines or shipping delays due to weather, road/airport closures, labour disruptions, or other factors outside our control. Posted timeframes at checkout are estimations only.
Provincial and federal taxes are applied during checkout.
5. Delivery outside Urban Areas
Regular (Expedited) Parcel shipping estimates are unavailable for Northern Territories, remote areas, and oversized shipments. Delivery is estimated within 8-10 business days after the order is processed, excluding special orders. Shipping charges are calculated on the checkout page.
Please be aware that during the Canada Post strike, we cannot ship to PO Boxes and certain remote locations.
6. Oversized Orders
Regular (Expedited) Parcel shipping estimates are not available for oversized orders. Delivery is estimated within 4-12 business days after the order is processed, excluding special orders. Oversized orders are shipped using specialized couriers in large shipments and require longer delivery times. Shipping charges are calculated on the checkout page.
7. Shipping to the USA
Orders shipped outside of Canada are exempt from Canadian taxes. However, if applicable, you will be responsible for any import duties, customs charges, fees, or additional taxes, including VAT.
8. Ordering products that are out-of-stock in our distribution centre
If we do not have all your products at our distribution centre, your order may be delayed 2-7 additional business days while we source the remaining product elsewhere. Orders are processed and shipped from Monday to Friday. We do not process and ship orders on weekends or holidays, so shipping times are calculated based on business days.
Once your order is handed over to our carrier, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a tracking number. A tracking number may not be included in your shipping confirmation email for store pickup orders. This indicates that your order is on its way, and we will notify you via email once it is ready for pickup.
Delays can also occur due to payment, stock, and shipping address issues. If we encounter a problem we cannot resolve, we will email you within a day or two of placing your order.
9. Store pickup
Order online and pick it up at the nearest Boutique of Leather store if you are in a hurry.
If the item isn't available for store pickup, if you prefer, we'll ship it to your local BOL store for free, and it'll be ready for pickup within 1-7 business days. Please note: Due to higher demand during the holiday season, shipping timelines may be longer than usual.
To order an item for store pickup, follow these steps:
a. Choose your Store
When you find an item that you like, select a pickup location during checkout for your purchase. You'll see a message indicating availability and the expected pickup date.
b. Pay your Items
Follow the checkout prompts with your personal and payment information. We aim to process online pickup orders within 2-4 business days. Your order will be held at the store for 14 days. If in-store pickup is not an option for the item you like, if you prefer, we will ship it to your local BOL store for free, and it will be available for pickup within 1-7 business days. The closest location to your address with stock will always show up first. Once you receive a confirmation email, your order will be held at the store for 14 days.
c. Look out for a “Ready for Pickup” email.
Please wait for our confirmation email before heading to the store.
d. Pickup your order
Pickup your order at the Cash Till. Please bring your photo ID to receive your item(s). You may also be asked to present your “Ready for Pickup” email and the credit card used for your order.
FAQ
Can someone else pickup my order?
Yes. When placing the order, include the name of your designated “pickup person” and remind them to bring a photo ID. This way, we can ensure the order is handed over to the correct individual. We require a full name, so cab drivers, Uber drivers, or couriers cannot pick up orders. To modify the pickup person, forward them your “Ready for Pickup email.”
How soon can I pickup my order?
When ordering on our website, you’ll see an estimated pickup date. We’ll email you when your items are ready for pick-up.
Are all products available for store pickup?
No. Certain products aren't eligible for store pickup. (This information will be displayed when you shop online.) Some items may need to be transferred from our warehouses or another store, which could result in longer wait times for readiness.
I am trying to select in-store pickup, but it states, “not available for in-store pickup.” What should I do?
Not all products are eligible for store pickup. If in-store pickup is not an option for the item you like if you prefer, we will ship it to your local BOL store for free, and it will be available for pickup within 1-7 business days. You should receive a similar “Ready for Pickup” email. Your order will be held at the store for 7 days.
I might be unable to pick up my order after the post-14th day mark. Can you extend it for me?
Exceptions can be made if you contact our store or customer service beforehand. We won't cancel your order if you let us know when you can pick it up.
What do I need to bring with me?
BOL requires a government-issued photo ID to release orders to the designated person. Please have the order number and email confirmation ready to help our staff locate your order quickly.
Will everything be ready at the same time?
For faster pickup, if your order includes multiple items, some may be ready earlier than others. Please make sure to read all order pickup emails carefully.
Can I ship to home and do store pickup on the same order?
Unfortunately, all items in an order need to be processed the same way. Please place separate orders to use different delivery methods.
